Polemica scripta anonyma, Historia utilis contra Latinos Editions, Édition de référence 208-266
Polemica scripta anonyma, Quomodo et quando franci a sancta et universali ecclesia separati et a orthodoxis cogitationibus et moribus This is the second Slavonic translation (probably Athonite, late 14th or early 15th century) of the anonymous Byzantine pamphlet against the Roman Church and Western Christianity 'How and why the Latins were separated from us and were deprived of the primacy and removed from the diptychs' ('Πῶς καὶ κατὰ τίνα τρόπον ἐχορίσϑησαν ἀφ᾿ ἡμῶν οἱ λατῖνοι καὶ ἐξεβλήϑησαν τῶν πρωτείων καὶ τῶν διπτύχων'), researched and first published by Cardinal Hergenröter (Hergenroether, J. Monumenta graeca ad Photium ejusque historiam pertinentia. Ratisbonae, 1869, 154-163). The translation reflects a version of the Greek text that is very close to the text used by J. Hergenröter in the apparatus of his edition of the transcriptions in the manuscripts Monac. gr. 524 of the fourteenth century and Marc. gr. 90 (Class. II Nan. 112) of the fifteenth century. The title of the Slavonic translation, however, finds no complete parallel in any of the known copies of the Greek text. The latter part of the work has no connection with the Greek pamphlet and is a mechanical addition whose origin cannot yet be traced. Editions 274-279
